Wanna Cookie

One day, as a fun way to help my 10 year-old son understand fractions, we made peanut butter cookies. It was from an old family recipe that had been tweaked and improved upon through the years. My son loved them and he learned his fractions!

The next request was for a chocolate chip cookie. Again, I searched through my collection of recipes, acquired and perfected over the course of 45 years. First, at my mom's apron strings, begging for the spoon at the end -- my mom was famous for always having cookies for everyone. Then on through my ravenous youth and into adult life, baking for my kids. Ultimately seeking to create the most deliriously delicious cookie possible, I combined recipes and used secrets taught to me while playing professional rugby in the south-west of  France, and especially by my friends in Bayonne at Chocolat Cazenave and artisan chocolatier Christophe Puyodebat . To my joyous surprise, it was the best chocolate chip cookie I had ever tasted. After hearing everyone who tasted it say the same thing, I expanded the selection using the same baking principles  learned in France and decided to launch Wanna Cookie .
